Thursday 4th April

Why is it that a quick drink after work turns into a full on sesh??! As it was such a nice day, we went to Bar Med to sit outside for an hour after work. Andy, Ian and Nikki left, so Debbie, Shari and Suz decided to go on somewhere else for a drink. We were going in to Isit? and stumbled across Heulwen and her date ;)

We decided to line our tummy's at MacDonalds and (lo and behold) got chatting to a couple of kilts. They tried their hardest to get us to go to the Philharmonic with them, but we decided to check out the talent in Walkabout instead (oh, believe us there was definitely talent there!). We texted Simon to tell him we were surrounded by men in kilts and, true to form, he rung straight back to say he would be there asap!! There was a band playing covers so we danced to Guns n Roses, Brown Eyed Girl and Walking on Heulwen!!

After Walkabout closed, we broke with tradition and went to a gay club (Club X) for an hour, no-one can quite remember getting home but we think the Les Beer Scooter took us!

Saturday 6th April
Shari had (stupidly) decided to cook us all a stunning breakfast in preparation of the big day's alcohol consumption and after a massive fry up we set out off to Walkabout, which was packed with kilts, wahey! Debbie came back from the bar to meet 2 Scottish guys who were chatting up Anna, one of whom grabbed her tits as she was holding 2 pints of beer. However true to her form Debbie was not phased and didn't even spill a drop! We also managed to see our first bare arse quite early on as Debbie was trying to take a photo of Shari and Heulwen, but some random Scottish bloke lifted his kilt instead! This set the precedent for the day.

The match didn't start til 4.45pm so as you can imagine we were quite merry before kick off (well, we did go to the pub at 1pm!). The game was ok, but Wales lost. Suz did her normal bellowing and a couple of girls in front of us turned round and said they recognised Suz's voice from the last match! Nice.

Anna left halfway through as she was getting jostled, Heulwen left not long after the match, Simon disappeared with the bloke who was cadging fags off him all afternoon, Rhisian was otherwise occupied, which left Debbie, Suz, Shari and Lisa. We met up with a group of 4 lads who we stayed with for the evening - 3 of them were Scottish and one was English (boo!). Suz, Shari and Lisa snogged the Scots in kilts whilst Debbie snogged the English bloke. However Debs did manage to satisfy her kilt fetish by grabbing a quick snog with a Scot on the way back from the toilet - top work!

On Sunday afternoon, Shari and Debbie decided to meet up for a coffee to try to piece together the night before but somehow (surprise surprise) ended up Walkabout once again, perving on kilts. After a bit of gentle persuasion, Suz joined us straight from work and Simon also came along. We also met up with Rhian and Nicole (the girls who recognised Suz's shouting) who, to be frank, make us look like teetotallers, and two mad Kiwi girls who were in Cardiff for the weekend. After a few Reefs, Shari decided to invite some kilts who were on a stag weekend to join us! Somehow all 15 of us us ended up at Jumping Jaks, consuming alcohol and having a boogie. Suz managed to pull again whilst Shari (who was insane not to snog that stunning Newport Rugby player) and Debbie (who managed to swap her lighter for a gorgeous Scot's phone number) abstained for once.

What a fab weekend! The Paranoia Club are now planning a tour to Edinburgh... look out Edinburgh!

Photo's of the weekend will follow soon!

(ps. Under doctor's advice, Shari has now been told to lay off the booze for a couple of weeks..can she manage it or is she just turning weak?! One thing you can be assured of is that she aint too happy about it!!!)

PREVIOUS EVENTS.....

Saturday 23rd March

On Saturday, we gathered for one of the biggest days in the rugby calendar, Wales v England. With our bottles of vodka stashed in our bags, we headed off to Bar Cuba to watch the match. Unfortunately, Bar Cuba does not have Sky, so we headed off to find a suitable pub. After unsuccessfully trying Bar Med, the Model Inn and Yates (who would have shown the match, but couldn't get the tv to work), we accepted the inevitable and made our way to Walkabout!

The match did not go well (England beat Wales by 50-10) but we made up for our disappointment by singing the English out of the pub with rousing renditions of "You can stick your fucking chariots up your arse" and "You're a Wanker". Suzanne also scared off an English fan who had dared to fall into her by "accidently" throwing her drink in the dappy English girl's face and giving her "the look". Yes, obviously by this time, we had polished off the vodka and were tucking into the beers. We also stumbled across random Aussies, including Kendall (who was from Shari's home town) and Kate.

Suz, Heulwen and Simon left fairly early (quantity not quality in this case), Suz to have an early night as she works on a Sunday, Heulwen to interview Toby Jepson (formerly of Little Angels) and Simon to do what he does best.

Debbie snogged Kendall in front of a number of blokes she was in school with, while Shari (after finally managing to get her chicken burger and other acts of random behaviour) invited more strange Australians back to hers to kip on the floor.

Closing time came far too quickly, Shari had lost her wallet (or so she thought) and had seriously lost her voice (enough so that she had to resort to writing notes in lieu of speaking). We dashed out of Walkabout to avoid the numerous Aussie men who were expecting to stay at Shari's.

Shari bailed into a cab home inebriated, while Debbie, Kendall, Kate and random Aussies went on to Surfers.

Wednesday 27th March

The End was not doing "pound a pint of Stella" night so we decamped to the Firkin in protest. The second shock of the night was that the pubs were showing the England footy match instead of the Wales match, the punters were not impressed with our lack of respect towards the England football team, but we proved we were right when England were beaten 2-1 by Italy!

Thursday 28th March
Debbie, Suzanne and Simon met at the College bar to help celebrate two of Debbie's colleagues 10th anniversary of working at the College. Luckily, this is one anniversary Debbie will not get to see!

After a couple of glasses of warm chardonnay, we headed into town. After a bite to eat at Topo Gigio (NB sat by photo of Derwyn Jones!),we met Dawn in the Old Monk and played several games of Hangman. Debbie went home while Simon and Suz went to Walkabout!

Shari was in London (visiting David), getting hammered at the Red Herring Bar on red wine (rather appropriate) with David's work colleagues, which knocked her for six the next day (especially on the Tube!). London will never be the same.

We all went our separate ways for Easter weekend, so the next big day out will be the Wales v Scotland match on Saturday 6th April!
